Jack & Christian run special gym sessions for young people age 11 to 16 at West Norwood Health & Leisure Centre (WNHLC) . After school in weekdays the sessions are 3.30pm to 6pm Monday to Thursday and a bit longer on Fridays 3.30pm to 6.30pm. Weekends are 10am to 12.30pm .
With a “pay as you go” card the sessions are £2.10 each. Monthly membership is £13.85/£11.80 and includes swimming. And circuit training on Wednesdays at 4pm.

Line dancing at The British Home
Line Dancing at 10.30am on first Wednesday morning of the month at The British Home in Crown Lane is just one of the variety of activities targeted at older people in the West Norwood area.
Every week there are: sessions on Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays at West Norwood Health & Leisure Centre ( 020 8761 1159), NPG holds classes on Tuesdays at The Old Library , an over -50s club on Thursdays from 12 noon at Emmanuel Church , Clive Road and a gentle exercise class on Fridays at 9.30 am at All Saints Church , Lovelace Rd.
And every month there are more things to join in: 2nd Wednesdays at 2.30 pm is a tea dance ( dementia friendly) at Portico; U3A meets on 3rd Wednesday at The Park Tavern, Elder Rd ; a film matinee at Portico on 3rd Wednesdays 2.30pm.

Our lovely swimming pool has been open for a year. To celebrate, the leisure centre is holding an open day on Tuesday 28th July 6.30am to 10pm . Everyone is welcome to try out any of the sports & leisure facilities for free. If you have not visited the West Norwood Health & Leisure Centre ( WHNLC ) yet this is an opportunity not to be missed!

Come along to West Norwood Health and Leisure Centre in Devane Way (opposite the train station) SE27 0DF on Wednesday 10th June 6pm to 8pm to hear from Healthwatch Lambeth about the work of the last year on the ‘transformation of primary care’ designed to mean we will need less hospital care in the future. Healthwatch Lambeth aims to address inequalities in health and social care and ensure local services are appropriate for our diverse communities.
The event will include an update on the Prime Ministers Challenge Fund investment in 4 x 8-8 clinics, new tech ways of getting a GP appointment, an update from a team of people with learning disabilities visiting pharmacies and an opportunity to have a say in the Lambeth DataNet database of anonymised health data from 340,000 patients registered at GPs in Lambeth.

West Norwood has its own walk-in GP surgery at weekends at least until the end of April 2015. Knights Hill GP surgery based in the West Norwood Health & Leisure Centre, Devane Way SE27 0DF is open Saturdays and Sundays 9am to 4.30pm for any NHS registered patient – no appointment needed.
