School holidays start this week for the summer. Young Lambeth Co- op has produced a booklet with a wide range of fun & educational activities for children and young people in Lambeth.
Pick up a copy in libraries or go on line: https://www.lambeth.gov.uk/summer-activities-2018
Young Lambeth Co op is a membership organisation involving young people to decide on services for young people in Lambeth. To find out more see: http://www.younglambethcoop.co.uk/about-us/what-is-the-ylc
Cllr Jane Pickard is deputy cabinet member for young people. She says “ Despite losing more than half of the money we receive from the Government for day-to-day services, Lambeth has managed to keep open the vast majority of its youth clubs and adventure playgrounds.”
Our local Norwood School & Repowering London are starting a community solar power project. To find out more come along to a meeting on Wednesday 18th July 7pm to 8.30pm at The Norwood School, Crowndale SE19 3NY.
All profits from the scheme go straight to the community who get to choose how the money is spent. Norwood’s young people will also benefit from training opportunities.
