Norwood School Update

The Norwood School in Crown Dale SE19 3NY  is undergoing extensive building work over the summer holidays. These improvements are part of the Building Schools for the Future programme started by the last Labour government. The school is getting  a new theatre  which will be accessible to the public outside school hours, modern class rooms and  a new dance studio, art room & cafeteria.

The Norwood School is a mixed school specialising in the performing & visual arts. Under the leadership of Denise Webster the school is  one of the top 5 most improved schools in the country for achievement of 5 GCSE A-C grades including English & maths and  the top school in the country for improvement in 5 GCSEs A-C grades.

Families with children looking to start secondary school next year in September 2012 can look round the school on its open days next term:

Thurs 29th Sept 4.30pm to 7pm

Monday 19th September 9.15am to 10.30am

Tuesday 20th September 9.15am to 10.30am

Wednesday 21st  September 9.15am to 10.30am

Thursday 22nd September 9.15am to 10.30am

Friday  23rd September 9.15am to 10.30am
